What is Educational Therapy?

Educational therapy utilizes academic interventions to target underlying learning challenges. There are so many potential barriers to learning for students. Stressors outside of school, anxiety at school, learning disabilities, executive function, and behavior are only some possibilities. An educational therapist helps a student and their family identify these barriers and provides strategies and instruction on navigating these barriers.

At UnmaskEd we work with K-5 students with intellectual and developmental disabilities using a play- and interest-based model to encourage academic growth. For more information about educational therapy services provided by UnmaskEd, click here.
