Hi, there!
My name is Mikayla Oko.
I have dedicated my life to working with disabled individuals and providing neurodiversity affirming care. My experience is widespread in regards to environment, disability, and age. I have been working in special education since 2018. I am a licensed special education teacher in Colorado. I have worked as a public school teacher, in a program run on an inclusion model for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
I started UnmaskEd Educational Therapy to branch out, advocate effectively, and support children's academic needs in a more personalized, strength-based, and interest driven way than I can in the classroom.

Our Services

Educational Therapy
Educational therapy at UnmaskEd supports students with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing targeted academic instruction. Services are provided by a licensed special education teacher.
Our job is to identify your child's barriers to learning - whether it be related to a learning disability, negative relationship with learning, or insufficient support from school alone.

Advocacy
Advocacy can look different based on your family's needs, and may go beyond what is listed below. Advocacy may be IEP consulting, IEP meeting attendance, or collaboration with other providers.
