Welcome to UnmaskEd, LLC! We offer educational therapy services for children grades K-5 with cognitive and developmental disabilities in Lafayette, Colorado. We provide neurodiversity affirming care through a play- and interest-based model.

Hi, there!

My name is Mikayla Oko.

I have dedicated my life to working with disabled individuals and providing neurodiversity affirming care. My experience is widespread in regards to environment, disability, and age. I have been working in special education for the past seven years. I work as a Significant Support Needs teacher, which is a program run on an inclusion model for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in public schools.

I started UnmaskEd Educational Therapy as a way for me to branch out and support children's academic, behavior, and executive functioning needs in a more personalized, strength-based, and interest driven way than I can in the classroom.

Educational Therapy

Advocacy

Advocacy can look different based on your family's needs, and may go beyond what is listed below. Advocacy may be IEP consulting, IEP meeting attendance, or collaboration with other providers.

Parent Coaching

The beauty of parent coaching is that you get to collaborate with your child's service provider and learn to carry over what is being done in therapy.
